This is Pavi :D

An adorable Mexican Hairless (or Xoloitzcuintli/Xolo) belonging to ~GevaudanJo

She asked me to draw Pavi for her, and of course, I agreed :D

I don't get asked to draw animals that often, so this was a nice change for me!

Primarily Prismacolor pencils, with a watercolour wash and acrylic highlights on Strathmore Bristol Board 9"x12" 400 series

Your coloured pencil technique is superb. Love the mix of wet and dry.
Scary breed though - looks like a zombie dog!

Thank you very much! Coming from an artist as renowned and talented as you, I take that as a great honour! :D

The dog was strange to draw! But quite a challenge, too. As he has little fur, it was interesting to get the cracks and skin textures to work with the coloured pencils.
This is the first of a few of her dogs I am hoping to draw for her.
