Ugh.....would you believe that the oil on this took AGES?! I primed it with white emulsion before I started and tried to blend the paint with my fingers, like I usually do when I work on canvas or imitation canvas board/panel.

Well, that wasn't going to work now, was it? Every time I tried, I ended up lifting all the paint off the surface again, so I had to use a brush all the time to blend in every single section on his face and clothing. ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!!
Anyway, I'm pleased with how the final thing came out, even though it DID take my hours to finally complete it. The style of it kinda reminds me of Hockney or Freud. Glad you like it!! I know I do!
