Right, so I've decided to attend the TOKYOPOP recon event at my local Waterstone's on Thursday and thought...

...Hmm, art contest?

Sounds fun, I know I'll do a submission based on the manga/anime Cardcaptor Sakura!

So, quick painting here. Sketched in orange pencil lead, outlined in Prismacolor Verithin Black, then painted with Daler Rowney Watercolours, from a travel set XD

I don't think I've EVER painted like this before. If you've never seen my previous work, you might think I always draw like this! :P
It's not my usual style. I don't really do manga because I suck at it!

And I messed up the background because I didn't use real watercolour paper. Doh!

Oh well, only about 3 hours work anyway. And I'll let them keep it if they need to for the contest. (Although I'd like to have it back eventually!)

EDIT 4/7/08: Won the Art Contest! Came 1st!
